I downloaded IOS 10 today. I'm getting confused about iMessage app. I can't figure out how to delete certain messages in a thread.

No problem to delete a thread, but how do I erase just certain of the messages. It was easy prior to IOS 10..

Tap/hold on the message you want to delete. Choose More from the bottom menu. Make sure the message you want has a check mark next to it (it should by default), then tap the Trash Can icon at the bottom left. (If you choose Delete All at the top left the entire conversations will be deleted).

Tap and hold on the particular message you want to delete, then tap more in the pop up that appears at the bottom of the screen. The message will now have a blue dot next to it. Tap the trash can icon at the bottom of the page. A red DELETE button will appear. Tap it and the chosen message will be deleted.
