Dear Padders(?),
When I was leaving for Haiti, my ibook was going to the shop and my 2400C's batteries were shot so I bought an ipad 2 which turned out to be a good thing. My rented cellphone didn't work and the company seems to have gone out of business, the flight across Haiti I booked ($28 phone bill) didn't exist and, in a cash economy, Cap Haitien's 2 banks wouldn't cash my traveler's checks. Fortunately, in a few selected spots, the hotel had wifi. So I was able to communicate, research and even download Laurent Dubois' wonderful book on Haiti. Now, if I can just figure how to get Pages on a jailbroke ipad 2.
