1 am having trouble using the kindle app, it does not let me go to the store to purchase books, can anyone help

Welcome henryg. The kindle app lets you read all your kindle material, but does not let you buy anything. You will have to go to Amazon online to purchase. This is because Apple takes a cut of the price for items purchased in an app. You can go to Amazon through your browser on your iPad for your purchase and it will download to the app.
