I have used the search with every variant I can think of.
I have searched through each of the potential posts on 10 pages of threads.

The issue: Occurs during the use of any app, I have added Pages, FB, Twitter,
a magnifier. Nothing serious.

I am a poet, not a tech.

The screen switches to the lockout screen, at any point. I have turned of the
wifi to see if it was a signal issue. It persists. Occasionally it will offer me the
shut down screen. I cancel out, as one must to continue.

This lockout screen dump happens every few seconds. Havoc watching
Firefly.

At the risk of beating a dead horse, it goes lockout, I swipe, or flip the cover
closed and open again. It returns to the activity, and might immediately swap
back to the lockout. This can go on for hours. I am far too patient. The time
it swaps to lockout after swiping clear is seconds, and repeats, oddly, for
hours, or can simply cease for a period of time.

Is the anything I can do, will a full reset clear it out fresh? I appreciate any
suggestions you might share.

Thank you, for your time.

This is an addition, half hour later.

I did a full erase and restore, and this glitch occurs, even during the restore
process, as in, while it is still loading up, asking me what language I want,
all that.

Curious.

I do not know how long you've owned the iPad - so I hope not too long. Because, to be honest, this sounds like a hardware issue, especially as it still happens after a full restore.

The only thing I can suggest is to take it in to the Apple store and show it to the Geniuses there. Hopefully, they'll be able to help.

Maybe someone else will be along that has a solution that'll work without going to the store...

Thank you for your quick response!

I have had her (I call her ALIS, after Chrysalis) since October, and received her
as a gift. I will take her in and see what the genius says. I felt inclined to ask
around forums, first, you know? I would love to have been able to solve the issue
myself, but alas, I am sunk!

Thanks for your time, this is sound, and I will follow it up.

I hope this finds you well.

J.
