[IMG], the leading digital sheet music retailer and publisher, has today launched an updated version of its free iPad app, designed to allow musicians to import, manage and interact with their digital sheet music library on the iPad.

The app works by syncing’s customers’ iPads with their existing Musicnotes. com account. Once songs are downloaded to the iPad, they are then stored locally on the device, enabling musicians to play their sheet music even when they can’t access on the Internet.

Some of the key features of the new release include:

    • The ability to instantly transpose the key of the sheet music
    • A new mark-up tool to draw, highlight, and type on your sheet music
    • Set lists and folders for managing your sheet music library
    • Access to the “Free Song of the Monthâ€
    • Customizable backgrounds
    • A fully redesigned interface, including Cover Flow

You can download the free app here, and anyone who does so will also get sheet music for five free bonus songs.
