emailing a NOTE from an iPad 3

    Hi .. we are encountering problems when attempting to send NOTES from an iPad via email.

    1. Create a Note via the Notes app that comes with every iPad
    2. Select 'Print/email' option
    3. The email screen appears ...

    The email is generated, however the content of many NOTES is stripped down to sometimes just one line.

    I have tried numerous variations of content, eg: some with hard returns, thinking that maybe a hard return causes the problem, but that didn't help.

    Are there limitations on how many characters can be entered, is there a combination of characters that prevents the content from rendering in the email's body field ??

    One more thing, we are using Lotus Notes as our email system ... I should try some other type of email system shouldn't I ... I will ! but if anyone has any brilliant suggestions as to why SOME Notes cannot be emailed, please let me know :0)

    I just sent email to a yahoo account , a long note (approx 50 lines, 1 word per line shopping list) with no problems. Opened in email with complete list. Hopefully someone will have a clue as to what is happening to yours.

    No idea what's going on.

    Is the text stripped before you send, in the body of the outgoing email?

    Have you tried the usual fixes?


    When you have problems with an app it's a good idea to clear it from RAM.

    Close/Clear the app: With the problem app closed, double tap on the Home button to get the multitask bar. Tap and hold on any icon in the bar until they jiggle, then tap the minus sign on the problem app. This will remove it from RAM and insure a clean start the next time you launch the app.

    If that does not work try a restart,

    Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends you restart the iPad at least once a month.

    and then a reset if that does not work.

    Reset: Hold down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot. This usually takes a bit longer than a restart.
