Hi everyone. I am new to the forum. I am very keen to buy and start using an ipad. However, Apple tell me that I can not download my own Bluray DVDs to the ipad as it infringes copyright. has anyone tried to download movies from their own DVDs, and was it possible????? (I so hope it is):)

Yes, I do this. Theoretically it may not be legal where you are but I don't think that anyone will prosecute you for watching ripped DVD's that you have paid for.

Best program I can suggest to rip BluRays is DVDFab8. It costs but it will do the job, and it will output to a variety of formats.
