Amazon isn't among the first to have an application ready for early Apple Watch buyers, but the company has almost confirmed that it is indeed working on one. Speaking to TechCrunch, a company spokesperson said the following:
“Amazon is constantly innovating on behalf of our customers. We are committed to being anywhere customers want to shop. That includes watches. We have an Amazon shopping app for Android Wear and will look to expand to other devices.”
Naturally, by 'other devices', one can only understand Apple Watch, as the nascent smartwatch market is currently being leaded by Android-powered devices. Of course, there are also other companies such as Pebble, but Amazon is probably aware of the potential of the Apple Watch.
The shopping app will allegedly allow consumers to search for products and even buy them from their wrist using Amazon’s 1-Click ordering system. TechCrunch also informs that the Apple Watch version of the Amazon shopping app will operate just like the current Amazon app for Android Wear.
Thus, it should let you search for items using your voice, save products to your Amazon Wishlist and more. We're really wondering just how awesome could it be to be able to buy products straight from your Apple Watch.
