If you like beautifully crafted adventure games then look no further than Microïds, the French publisher behind the Syberia series. They’ve just announced, in conjunction with Artefacts studio, that their next release (ahead of the long-awaited Syberia 3, which is coming later in the year) will be Agatha Christie: The A.B.C. Murders, due to arrive in the App Store on September 29 for $6.99.
In the game you get to play as Agatha Christie’s legendary Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, in one of Agatha Christie’s most famous novels, A.B.C. Murders.
When Poirot receives a letter from someone calling themselves “A.B.C.” he’s shocked to see that the letter-writer is brazenly announcing that they are about to commit a murder, showing clear contempt for the great detective and his colleagues. In a bid to track down A.B.C you’ll get to explore various locations in England, and must use your observation skills and wit, and above all keep a cool head in order to solve the mystery.
The gameplay has been particularly designed to use Poirot’s trademark method of deductive reasoning, his “little grey cells.” Here are some of the key gameplay features:
