Is there anyway in the Youtube app to enable restrictions from the Adult content? I have deleted it because one of my kids was messing with it and was on the top 10 listing and 3 were porn looking items.
There is no way to lock it or set a password to get into it so I just deleted it, upset as now they can't see any Angry Birds hints. Now i went in through the Safari and went to setting and set the restrictions on that, but it's seperate from the app.

No. The restrictions would have to be set on the YouTube account, and YouTube does not have any restrictions settings available. I'm afraid all you can do is turn the app off under restrictions.

I'm curious how you set restrictions on Safari. As far as I know the Allowed Content setting only affect content loaded from iTunes.

Oh well, I would have liked to know.

If you find it does not work, there is at least one supposedly kid safe browser. It only blocks sites though, not content on sites. That means you can't go to YouTube at all, since they have no content restrictions on their site, or almost none.

It is called K9 Web Protected Browser

I played with it for a few moments, and it worked with one or two sites. I'm sure there are ways around it, but they would have to work at it.

I think there is a YouTube look-ailke app that includes age-based restrictions. Check the app store under YouTube.

Hi if you ment for an iPad app so here is one that doing a really good job - video baby - plus it lets you download and save the videos to your iPad so you'r kids can watch it when there is no internet connection, let say on the car. just search Video baby on the app store.
