Yahoo has today launched its iPad-optimized mobile Web mail service, which follows on from the recent release of its HTML5 mobile web mail for the iPhone. According to Yahoo, the brand new iPad mail experience is:
- Faster and more reliable, using local caching functionality to enable you to access and search your mailbox even when offline.
- Smart - Use Full Search to find your messages, organize your mail into personal folders and Smart Folders with messages from your important contacts, and enjoy optimized viewing of photos and file attachments.
- Feature Rich - You can view rich photo attachments in full, or preview them in index view.
All you have to do to access the service is point your iPad’s Safari browser to http://mail.yahoo.com. It looks like they’ve done a really great job!
Yahoo says that it plans to constantly upgrade its Yahoo! Mail for iPad service, so users can expect new features and improved performance in the near future.
