will nochange wallpaper unless its an apple wallpaper

just about to go to bed and was wondering why now i couldnt change my wallpaper to one that i want.. ive been searching around the net (and maybe missed sine maybe) and havent seen any possibilities to fix this

When you go to Settings>Wallpaper>Choose a New Wallpaper, you should be offered the choice of Apple Wallpaper or photos from your camera roll.

Does the photos section not appear on your iPad when you try to change the wallpaper.

I'm probably being too obvious here, but do you have any photos in the Photos app? This is the only other source of wallpaper images on the iPad.
