Whenever I install apps from App Store I'm returned to Home screen (iOS 6)

Hi, I'm having this tedious problem with my New iPad (which is also "new" because I bought it a few days ago). Whenever I install apps from the App Store, instead of keeping me in the store (which instead happens on my iPhone 4 with iOS 6), it kicks me out and returns me to home screen. Is there a way I can prevent this? Or is it a known problem of iPad 3? Or is it just mine?

Perform a hard reset on the iPad and see if it fixes the issue. Hold both the sleep/power button and the home button together, and release it the second you see the Apple logo appear

It appears the problem was worked out! Actually there were two phases in the iPad's rehab, which I'm sharing for the benefit of anyone with the same situation. First, there was an update that reportedly modified only the support for microsoft exchange (or similar: didn't pay much attention); after restart, the stay-in-store feature was active! So evidently there was a bundle of updates which also included that. But a new problem surfaced, i.e. the store "Featured" tab was only showing weird symbols and characters, even after closing and reopening the app store. So I tried with a hard reset, and that worked. Now I can both stay in the store and see what's in there
