videos and muvies

hie i have just bought a brand new ipad 2 and i was wondering inorder to add videos to your ipad one hv to convert the muvies into mp4 format? i wanted to know if its possible to view muvies in the original mkv or avi or flv format. please help. ty

Search for Flexplayer in the apps store. its free and can play most formats without the need to convert them.

Appy_nyc, i'm using oplayerhd lite for all my movie/tv show needs u just have to download the free app in the app store, if you have post downloaded movies in your comp thats perfect coz u just have to wifi transfer them to your oplayer to watch them without having to convert supported files are avi, mkv, xvid etc. almost any video formats are playable at first gave me headache but u'll get to know everything along the way good luck!
