Video trimming error

I have just recorded a short video which I tried to trim. Unfortunately the bit I wanted to keep, I deleted. Is there any way I can retrieve this?

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but, unfortunately, once you delete something on the iPad, it's gone forever. There's no trash bin like on a PC.

I would recommend doing your editing in iMovie or Pinnacle Studio so that you can edit without loosing the source files. Trim away without fear of loosing something.
