Video not showing when connected to speaker dock

I am using my iPad 2 connected to an iHome speaker dock. When I go to play a Youtube video, the iPad thinks it's connected to a TV and the video won't show up on the screen, just the audio coming out of the speaker dock. I thought many people are able to watch movies on their iPads through the speaker docks. Has anyone had any luck getting video to show on the iPad screen while connected to a speaker dock? Please help!

Just checked mine. I have the inStudio speaker dock. Works OK.

Interesting, may be a limitation with my dock then.

I had problems with an iHome dock that I was using for my iPhone. It played OK, but wouldn't charge the phone. The dock I bought for the iPad came from "The Source". I believe that is still called Radio Shack in the US?

Everything else works well on the iHome dock, it charges fine too. It also has an AUX input so I can use that for video if need be.
