If you take a US ipad2 to Europe..how is it possible to use standard Vodafone SIM card ? How to charge the ipad using 220volts if not using USB ?

If you're in the UK, walk into a Vodafone shop, ask for a PAYG microSIM - pay cash or credit - walk out of the shop, take out the AT&T microSIM, replace it with the Vodafone microSIM - you're good to go.

The standard iPad charger will work anywhere in the world - it automatically adapts to the local voltage. All you need is a 'travel adaptor' from the airport to configure it to physically fit into the sockets in Europe.
