Help required pulse. I am completely lost and unable to log in to my new iPad 4 It requests a passcode which I am now unable to get in. How does the Passcode differ from the Password. I have a MacBook can that sync it to the iPad 4 I am using an old IPad 2 to get into this forum. I have read that once you do this Two factor authentication you are stuck with it. ?

The passcode is device-specific. It can’t be synced between devices, and it can be changed quite easily.

The passcode is used to unlock an Apple device when the screen has been locked, or after restarting the iDevice, e.g.

If you forgot the passcode, you’ll have to erase the iPad.
Here’s what to do:
If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled

The password is something completely different.
If you forgot the password of your Apple ID, you’ll have to reset the password.
If you forgot your Apple ID password
