Can I import gopro to the iPad?

It depends.

You can import images, but videos may not work. I don't know the exact details of the video format used by your camera, but a non-jb iPad is fairly restrictive in terms of what video format's it accepts. If you have an iPad 1 and jailbreak it, than importing should't be a problem, but importing onto an iPad 2 will probably not work, yet.

Gopro video imports just fine. I just used the SD card adapter to import ~2 hours/6 GB. (Hmmmm,,, maybe I should get iMovie... )

GoPro and iMovie

Don't buy iMovie just yet.
I just tried it out at the Apple store. iPad2 imports fine through the SD-reader but you cannot edit the imported video with iMovie.

Which is stupid.
