Sync ipad calendar with outlook Zimbra

I am able to make an entry on my outlook (zimbra) and then it will sync to my ipad Calendar. However, the reverse doesn't happen. When I make a new entry on my ipad calendar, it won't show on the outlook Zimbra calendar.
Can i get some help.​
