Question about itunes gc?

So, tomorrow, I am getting my ipad (new one- should I get white, or black? )and have a couple questions. A huge canadian chain is closing, and has cases for 8.99- will they fit the new one, if only for ipad 2? Also, itunes gc- wm has 50 dollar one on for 40. Can that be used to buy apps? Thanks so much!!!!

Black/depends on the case/yes

The only things that will not work are the snap back plate covers that are meant for the iPad 2 as the new iPad is slightly thicker.
