I got my new iPad 32 gb with retina display last week so I am very new to iPad.
Currently I am in Melbourne visiting my children and will be nack in Sri Lanka in mid October 2012 where I live.
I am a Birdwatcher and I hope this device will be of immense value for me to store my pictures, video clips, presentations etc.
I would like to know how to transfer photos and videos etc from my PC to iPad.
Pls help me.

Hi there--connect your iPad To your computer, open iTunes, select the photos tab and choose your picture files to transfer, than press sync.

Hi Ubekan - welcome to the forum! :)

With the newest iPad, screen resolution is phenomenal, so your birds should look about as realistic as possible!

Of course the traditional way of transferring photos on your computer to your iPad is by using cabled iTunes, as suggested by Skimonkey - this will work fine; if you want to use this option, I would suggest placing your photos in a folder (or separate folders) and syncing those folders that you want on the iPad - be careful about automatic syncing of all of your photos on your computer (just may not be your desire?).

Wireless transfers are also possible, e.g. I use a program called PhotoSync (INFOR HERE), which has worked fine for me; of course there are many 'Cloud' options, Apple's iCloud, Dropbox, et al - so decide on how you want to transfer your photos to the iPad; search the forum for options and try to learn about the possibilities - there may be one or two choices that will fit your needs the best - good luck and please post back if you still have questions!
