New iPad takes a long time to charge compared to iPad 1

I just upgraded from an iPad 1 to the new iPad. What a difference in the display... I have also noticed
the new iPad takes a LOT longer to charge than my old one. Has anyone else noticed this?

yes it's is because it has a bigger battery .

I read a iPad review online (do not recall source) that observed a longer charge time for the new iPad. I got the new iPad on Friday; this is my first iPad, so I have nothing to directly compare other than my iPhone. The iPhone recharging is much quicker, but I expected to be.

While recharging is slower, the same reviewer suggested recharging overnight.
