What ever happened to the "Sent " Box in the iPad mail app? Is this a change under IOS 6.1.3 or is there a way to get it back? I appreciate any info.

Thanks,
Pat Canady

If you were thinking of this one here

(third place), it should still be there anywhere. Not necessarily at the same place as here. In another account, it's on fifth place in my mail app.

Hi Pat - I would start w/ the usual steps quoted below; first, try to 'Force Close' the Mail app (remember you need to close the app for the icon to appear in the multi-task bar); if unsuccessful, followed the next two steps in order - let us know if these suggestions help - good luck! Dave :)

When an app (or several) are misbehaving, I usually go through the following steps:

1. Force Close - open the multi-tasking bar (double tap the 'home buttom' or use multi-gesturing and swipe up); press & hold an app until all begin to 'jiggle'; find the offending app(s) and press the 'red circle w/ minus sign' - return to the home screen & try again.

2. Restart - press & hold the 'Sleep/Awake' (a.k.a. power) button until a red slider appears (may take a few seconds) - move the slider to turn off the iPad; then press & hold the same button until the Apple logo appears - wait for a restart.

3. Reset - press & hold the 'Power' and 'Home' buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears - this may take a longer time, so have patience; the iPad will 're-boot' - NOTE that none of these maneuvers will alter your apps, files, or settings.

J.A and Girdaman,

I appreciate the responses. I had wiped my Gen 3 IPad and gave it to my wife after I purchased my Gen 4 model. The first thing I noticed was that the "Send" and "Trash" boxes were missing under the list of boxes listed in your picture on my wife's Gen 3 after i resynced it from iTunes. After she started using her mail and created a message and sent it, the "Sent" box appeared. Interestingly, after she erased a message the "Trash" box appeared. So I'm guessing these boxes automatically appeared but only first use. My wife did have a first Gen iPad which was full of "Sent" messages which I had previously synced with iTunes, the 3rd Gen had been wiped clean and then synced with the data from the first Gen backup. I'm assuming that the sent messages that were on her first Gen got lost in the process.

Again, thanks for your responses,

Pat Canady
