Making calls and SMS with SIM Card in iPad2???

Hi,

Is there any app in app store that allows to sms and making phone calls with iPad?
Of course using the SIM card which is in iPad for 3G/GSM?

Not naturally, but they have VOIP apps and texting apps that may let you

I'm actually going to be testing out google voice for calls. If this works, hopefully I can drop my phone plan. Hate carrying around 2 devices when all I really use is the mini

there is an app called Swirly SMS but your device should be jailbroken, which mine is NOT.
anyone know if there is any app in the app store which do the same?

I don't think there is any application available which allows to make calls from iPad...

Have a look at the Talkatone app (free in the App Store). Combined with a Google Voice phone number - you can make calls from your iPad. I've used this app and it worked for me.
