This is the message l used to receive when l tried several times updating from 11.0.2 to 11.1.2 on my laptop

Make sure that Windows on your laptop is up to date. (I guess you use Windows.)
Don't download the update for iTunes through Internet Explorer. It could cause problems. Use another browser.
Delete iTunes on your computer and download it again, if the suggestions above didn't help.
