iTunes stopped working error help.

My iTunes Music Library is showing that the location of the original files could not be found. I have the songs on my hard drive, but every time I try to
get iTunes to locate the files, I get the error "iTunes stopped working- A problem casued the program to stop working correctly .. windows will close the program"
I can't get passed this all the time, iTunes shuts down. I have two questions:

1. How can I trouble shoot this shut down problem ?
2. Is their a way to delete all the songs and rebuild the library ?
3. Is is possible to get iPad2 to sync to iTunes instead of the other way round?


I am running Windows 7 64bit.
