need to wipe clean iPad 2 to give to someone else. How do I do this?

Hi, welcome to iPF!
If you need the content and settings for your next device, don't forget to back it up using iTunes or iCloud, whichever you prefer.
To wipe clean the iPad, first go to Settings - iCloud, and turn off "Find my iPad", if you use it. You'll have to enter your password to confirm your intentions.
That done, go to Settings - General - Reset and select "Erase all Content and Settings".
