Ipad will not sync with itunes

Some time ago, I got completely stuck in an update where my only recourse was to erase.
Now, many months later I tried to put an album (photo) onto my ipad from my Mac Pro. I received the message that "The ipad "(name)" is synced with another iTunes library on my lap top "(name)". Do you want to erase this iPad and sync with this iTunes library?"

I definitely DONOT want to do that, what other option do I have to sync my devices?
