I got an iPad2 for Christmas 2011, and have slowly become a fan. The first thing I noticed was that it could take amazingly clear, sharp pictures. The display was excellent, and using the camera function was intuitive. My daughters introduced me to some of the games (Jetpack Joyride and Temple Run), and I found that reading and disposing of my e-mail is easy, as well. I have a Mac, so Safari was familiar to me. The wi-fi is easy to adapt to my local environment.
I came to this forum to see if I could learn ways of using my iPad more effectively. With the large number of apps I have already downloaded, I want to navigate to the right page quickly so I can get to work (or play).
About me (if you care): I'm an old fart (71), but I consider myself fairly computer savvy (I've been in information technology most of my life). For fun, I fly radio-controlled model airplanes and stunt kites (2 and 4 line varieties). I still work, not because I absolutely have to, but because I enjoy the interaction and learning opportunities. Also, I find I can afford more and better toys! -- Dean
