I have just installed the new operating system on my iPad mini and it has died! No matter what buttons I press - it just does not show any sign of life. Any ideas anyone?

The first thing to do, even with the slightest problem after any upgrade, is to reset your iPad...sorry if you already know this:)

Simultaneously hold down the On/Off and Home buttons until the screen blacks out. Keep holding both until the white Apple logo appears and then let both go. Then wait until your wallpaper appears. Restart your iPad.

Hi, welcome to iPF from an Austrian member! :)

What else you could do, if resetting doesn't bring your device back to life:
Charge it. If the battery is very low on power or fully depleted, the iPad could need up to 20 minutes to start again.
Restore it. Here you'll find the instruction: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

My iPad crashed when I tried to update to ios7 via wifi. I just got a picture of a USB cable & an arrow pointing to iTunes. I had to restore by connecting the cable between the iPad & laptop. I was told it would take 3 hrs. My first 2 attempts failed at the 2 hr point!! Third attempt was successful but as it restores to factory settings. it took hrs to get everything back. It was a nightmare & has put me off updating anything again
