The supply problems with the iPad Mini 2 are well-known but lately, it seems that Apple has took all the necessary measures to improve the shipping times for the Retina display iPad Mini. Retina iPad mini shipping estimates for all models and capacities, have decreased to 1 to 3 days in the Online Apple Stores from United States, Canada, Mexico, and Asia Pacific. However, in European countries, the Retina iPad mini continues to ship within 3 to 5 days.
iPad Mini 2's shipping estimates have gradually improved, from 5 to 10 days in late November, to 3 to 5 days earlier this week and now to just 1 to 3 days. The possible culprit for supply constraints seems to be Sharp, who has been having problems accomodating the Retina display panels to the reduced size of the new iPad Mini.
