Ipad apps

I am presently using the "pages" app for a story I am writing. Is that the best one available. It's not unfriendly, but doesn't have a lot of "easy to use" editing functions.

I use Pages too. I'm sure you've seen the Apple Help section on Pages - but just in case.......
