According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it seems that the third-generation iPad Air will be arriving in the first half of next year. The analyst has issued a research note in which he predicts the iPad Air 3 will be released in the first half of 2016 and is unlikely to adopt 3D Touch because of production issues within Apple's supply chain.

Furthermore, the analyst believes the iPhone 7's pressure-sensitive 3D Touch display will have "similar technology and structure" as the iPhone 6s. According to him, the next-generation iPhone will be released in 2016, most probably around Apple's usual September release cycle.

Apple is said to hold a big event in March 2016, and that's when the company could unveil the iPad Air 3. Besides the new iPad, the company is also believed to introduce a new 4-inch iPhone and the second-generation Apple Watch and possibly an updated MacBook line of products.

Apple announced the iPad Air 2 in October 2014, but during its September 2015 keynote, the company introduced the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Pro, iPad mini 4, Apple TV 4 and Apple Watch Hermès, leaving out the next-generation iPad Air.

I'll be very surprised to see an Air 3 in the spring and with no 3D Touch. Apple Watch 2 , very likely. iPhone 6 c seems likely as well based on number of rumors. The Air 2 has more than sufficient specs to hold its own for a while yet.
