Hello and welcome to the forum!

As already stated, there is a 'rocker switch' along the upper right side of the iPad2 - if you tap the top or bottom of the switch, then the volume window appears on the screen and can be adjusted - not sure if that is your question or whether you want the volume to show up permanently on your screen? Let us know!
