Ipad 1 self recover from reboot hang

After months of tinkering with my iPad 1 crashing and cannot re-boot, I finally, although accidentally found the solution. I jailbreak it and when a crash happens and re-boot Fails (screen blank/black or apple logo have fizzy color), what I now do is the leave the iPad with the blank screen overnight. The next day I reboot as normal and miraculously the iPad recovered! Any explanation ? Possibly jailbreak helps or the hardware cools down which makes reboot possible. Crash only happens when I run ram intensive apps fr ex Safari. Thanks in advance fr any explanation.
