Ok, I have not synced my original iPad with my pc in over 4 months. I know.....I am just lazy. But now when I go to update the iOS to the new version it tells me that all my media will be erased. Does this mean that I will lose
all my notes, photos, contacts, calendar that is on here and not on my pc? I do not use outlook on my pc so I
never sync that part of it. Is there any way I can save all my notes? My whole life is in this thing. I do not want to lose this information. I am always afraid to sync with my pc. I have rebuilt my pc hard drive since the last time
since I have synced with it. So I have info on here that is not on my pc and do not want it to be wiped off when it tries to sync with my computer.
I am lost and get myself all twisted around. Can anyone help.

you need to download IOS on your system, and install iTunes 10.5 beta 7. Open the iOS beta 7 file that you downloaded in the first step by double clicking it. This will mount the image. Launch iTunes 10.5 beta 7 and connect your device. Click on Sync option. Hold down the Option key and click Restore. Navigate to the mounted image and select the xxxx.ipsw file.iTunes will now format your device and install a fresh copy of iOS 5 beta 7; it will then confirm you that your device has been unlocked.

Huh? I do Not want my IPad to be reformatted. I am just asking is there any way to back up my bookmarks,
notes, contacts, and photos, calendar and such without having to sync it to my desktop because I have not synced in so long. My whole life is in here. I can not lose the info that is on here. if I sync it to my pc will I lose any
information that is on here that is not on my pc. Will I lose that information if I updated to the new IOS?

so, I want to make sure I understand you completely. It will back up all my information that is currently on my iPad and restore it after upgrading? I there a way to back up the information just incase the restore goes wrong? I am just nervous about it because I have lost valuable information doing upgrades before. lol
