Hi, my name is Cheri. I am a gadget enthusiast. I currently have the iPad 2, a Vizio tablet, a couple of Nooks and an HP Touchpad. I had the iPad 1 but sold it in order to wait for a more advanced model. Other than tablets, I use laptops (3 currently), netpads (1), iPhone, etc.

I also sew, serge and do machine embroidery. I work shiftwork, married, do animal rescue in my (?) spare time. Currently have 6 dogs (the baby we bottle-fed from 8 days old; he now weighs ~80 pounds at 15 months) and a tank of tropical fish. Wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grand-mother, 29 years with my company and planning to retire next year. I blog, do Facebook and Twitter.

I am about to go on vacation and am trying to decided which computer to take with me. If I can learn to type on the iPad it would be much handier than trying to communicate on my iPhone or lugging a laptop. However, the keyboard is very sensitive to a touch-typist so there is a learning curve here. I opted not to purchase a separate keyboard but that may be something I explore further.

I found this forum doing a Google search to see if the sensitivity of the keyboard could be adjusted. So far, my search says no way. Thanks for having me.
