IMDB is undoubtedly the most reputed online name when it comes to research various movie information. IMDb stands for Internet Movie Database and contains massive amounts of information related to films, television programs, and video games. Not many know that the website has been acquired in 1998 by Amazon, but is still managed by the original creator and his team. Many of those who follow IMDb are owners of iPhones and iPads and that’s why the official iOS app comes in real handy whenever you are curious about certain tidbits. And now, the latest 4.2 version brings quite a lot of new features and improvements:

• US TV listings! See when and where you can watch things, wherever you are in the US.
• Amazon Prime availability! You can now tell at a glance when a title is available on Amazon Prime. If you have the Amazon Instant Video app installed already, tap to play!
• New showtimes page design on iPhone.
• For a movie coming out Friday (or any other day in the future and we know about it), you can get its showtimes right from the title page!
• Bug fixes, including a weird bug where your ratings history would show your most recently rated titles twice.

Thus, by using the updated IMDd app on your iPhone, iPod or iPad, you can now view TV listings inside the app. However, at the moment, this feature is limited only to US residents. This update comes shortly after it’s been announced that HBO content will be available on Amazon Prime. The app is completely free and you really should go ahead and get it, if you haven’t done so already.
