Hi
I think I have a really simple query.
Underlining text in iBooks and making notes is easy. Deleting any text notes is easy. But how do I delete an underline?
Please help! I've tried searching in google etc and found this forum - but i'm not sure how to search the forum to look for an answer to this so I'm just posting and hoping...

Tap on the underlined (or highlighted) section in the book. When you get the pop-up bar, select "Highlight" from the menu. Then, tapping on the white circle with a diagonal red line will remove any formatting in the section you're on. Here's the circle I mean:

Hope this helps. Do let us know how you get on.

There is no circle with a line through it that I can select. Is my iPad missing something?

It appears that highlighting changed a bit in iOS 7. After you've highlighted something (and you can now underlined something ... which is cool!), tap on the highlighted area. You get this pop-up:

If you tap on the trash/garbage can icon, the highlight will go away.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Of course that worked perfectly! Thanks!

You're welcome! And thanks for asking; I didn't know this had changed in/for iOS 7. It's nice to have the directions updated, now. Plus, it seems to be a much easier process now. Always glad to learn new stuff... :)
