How to save jpg files from web on ur ipad for OFFLINE use ?

Hi

I see jpg files on the web which I wish to save on my NON jb iPad 2 .
I have evernote and drop box installed.
I use safari browser.
I am rather new to iPad and not learnt all tips and tricks

Let us take a SAMPLE jpg file on the web http://bit.ly/oRT94e

I can view the file ...but am unable to save it or open it OFFLINE on iPad

Any help would be great fully acknowledged

I couldn't get that link to work but, if you see an image using Safari - i.e. you can view it, if you touch and hold the image a pop-up box appears offering you 'Copy' or 'Save Image'. As I said, I couldn't try it on the file you were referring because, when I clicked on the link you'd provided, the site reported that it couldn't locate the page in the URL.

I've posted the corrected link now...sorry about the error earlier ...
Still that may require a google groups log in ?.so it may network for you

Let me try your idea and revert back

Yes - I can't see it because I'm not a Member. Another option is to use GoodReader, of course, which can download any format of file.
