How to get iPad5 to lockscreen?

I had a prob as couldnt get into wifi b4 went via airplanemode. Got that working after 3months on trying.

Now cant get lockscreen. How can I get into lockscreen?

Not sure what you're referring to specifically. You have iPad5, which I'm assuming (loosely) is an Air, and you can't get lockscreen, are you in recovery mode, or can you not boot your device. The fore portion with Wifi and airplane mode is confusing and doesn't mesh with anything.
