Help exporting video...

Hey guys,

I recently purchased iMovie to create a movie project for a family member. I was adept as using windows movie maker on my 2004 laptop but thought that after all this time, iMovie had to be just as good if not better than that outdated program.

Now here I am with no customizable text, clip over clip transitions, or in app audio slicing. I'm to the point of just exporting the video I took on the iPad back to my laptop for editing, but I can't figure out how to export the videos I have.

Any help?!

As far as exporting the movies, if I'm right the the iPad shows up as a USB drive when plugged into Windows. You should find the original movie clips there, somewhere in the DCIM folder.
