Google News Archive on iPad?

Hello, I enjoy looking through old newspapers on Google (news.google /newspapers) but when I go there on the iPad it's almost impossible to navigate through and read them.
Are there any apps that let you use the newspapers on that website easily?

That's interesting. I'd never seen it before.

I'm afraid I could not find any better experience on the iPad than Safari; which is pretty poor. A search about the archive shows that Google shut down the project last year, which means they are unlikely to improve the web interface, let alone create an app for it.
