Hello, I'm new here. My excellent parents gave me an Ipad a few weeks ago because they knew that out of all the members of my family, I would enjoy it best. I am a Trekkie who recognizes that the ipad was inspired back in the '80s from a Starfleet device called a PADD (personal access display device) which was often used in Star Trek The Next Generation. I can't tell you how much I love using the Ipad, and of course the first app I downloaded was a Star Trek PADD simulator. After seeing how nice the ipad loads PDF files, I placed all of my Star Trek tech manuals in the iBook app .

I hope to make a lot of friends here,(including Trekkies) and to learn new things about my "PADD"
