Getting "Mail Delivery" Failures and Delays when sending mail from iPad

The strangest thing started to occur with my iPad a couple of days ago. All the mail I send, whether it be through a browser (Gmail) or the native mail app, I always get a Mail Delivery Failure or Delay on the email I sent a while later. If I resend the email on a computer, then it goes through fine. I've tried sending emails with the iPad on other networks but I still get the same error. I have absolutely no clue why this is occurring. Has this happened to anyone else and what can I do to remedy this?

Thanks.

Please don't bump your posts. Not only is it bad forum etiquette, it's against our rules. Plus, you must understand that this is an international forum and many people don't see posts as quickly as the poster wants. Usually, it's a good idea to wait at least 24 hours to see if you get a response to your question/post.

With that, couple of things:

(1) Did you check your router to make sure the iPad is indeed connected to the Internet? Sometimes, you have to reset it to get it to "talk" properly to the iPad

(2) Along that same line, try going to Settings > WiFi > your particular network and, by pressing on the blue arrow next to the network to which you are connected, select "Forget this Network." This will make the iPad forget the information currently loaded. You'll have to reload all the information to connect to the network, but this may help in clearing out "hinky" stuff.

(3) Sometimes, all that's needed to make the iPad behave is to either restart or reset it. This may be the step(s) you want to try first, actually. So, try this:

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.

Reset: Hold both the power and home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo then appears (the slide to unlock screen may or may not appear). Once the logo appears, release the buttons. After a time, your homescreen will appear. Please note that it may take some time for the Apple logo to appear or for your homescreen to appear (or both). This is normal. Eventually, the homescreen will appear.

Hopefully, something in here will help. If not, please let us know and maybe someone else can figure out what's going on. Good luck and do let us know how you get on.
