Game Center login question

My wife and I are buying our second third generation iPad.

We Will be using the same Apple ID Account for both iPads.

Are we able to have separate Game Center names so that we can play against each other in the Game Center?

If you are getting a second iPad then why would you use the two different names on one iPad?

Now with two separate iPads you both can have your own GC ID's that way you can compete against each other. My wife and I do that with our iPad2's.

You can set up separate iTunes and iCloud accounts. This way you can keep sharing apps and content, but still have different email, calendars, and yes, game center.
