R.E.M and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are the best bands ever

Naw . . . the Carter Family and variants; the Beatles, the Ramones, Stones, Justin Bieber, and The 1910 Fruitgum Company can kick REM/RHCP's collective bottoms even in a drunken stupor. Although, both are quite nice, especially R.E.M. I love playing "Loosing My Religion" on the Autoharp or Zither because it sounds better. Crank up the Marshall Stacks and you have Nirvana. Not the group, the definition.

I hadn't heard that. Axel Rose was one of my favourites when I was a girl.

Beatles, Stones (up to 1978), Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Led Zep, THe Police, U2, Simon and Garfunkel, The Byrds, Bob Dylan, Deep Purple, Bowie, Jethro Tull, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Mozart, Bach, Renaissance music, Howard Shore's 'Lord of the Rings' soundtracks (and I am not a soundtrack person, but I've listened to that more in the last 10 years than anything else).

Many of you have excellent taste in music, a few of you have a MOST excellent taste in music, few have to be taught what we mean by the term "music" and some of you leave a sour taste in my mouth and should be permanently banned from the iTunes Store. Sorry, but some of you need to learn what music is and is not. SMILEY.:p
