Facebook chat !!

How do I go offline in the facebook app chat ? I tried to go off using the up right button, it seems to me that I am offline but I still seem online to people. Any suggestions please..

Make sure chat is off on other devices and/or computers as well. I had to turn chat off on my phone, both tablets, and the computer; just to be sure.

That's all I can think of.

Of course, I'm not certain that other's don't see me as online anyway, since I have no way of checking.
