I've had my iPad for almost a year and can't live without it but lose all of my past calendar entries periodically. Can I retrieve them? How do I retrieve them?

Hi! Welcome to iPF!
Go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars, scroll down to Calendars, tap Sync and choose All Events (or something else you prefer).
